The main alloy materials used for die-casting include tin, lead, zinc, aluminum, magnesium, copper, etc. Zinc and aluminum alloys are the most widely used, followed by magnesium and copper alloys. Currently, zinc, aluminum, and magnesium alloys are mainly used in the electronics industry.

Die cast zinc alloy

The molten state of zinc alloy has excellent fluidity, with a low melting point of only 365 degrees. Various post-processing treatments can be carried out, such as electroplating. So it has a wide range of applications and was previously used in the mobile phone industry, but due to its large size and poor corrosion resistance, it has gradually been phased out by aluminum alloys. The most commonly used industry currently is the bathroom industry. Commonly used alloys include 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7, with 3 being the most widely used currently.

Die cast aluminum alloy

Aluminum alloy has low density, but high strength, close to or exceeding high-quality steel, good plasticity, and can be processed into various profiles. It has excellent conductivity, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in industry, second only to steel in terms of usage. The specific weight of aluminum alloy is only about one-third of that of iron, so its use is very important in various industries, especially in the lightweight process of aircraft, ships, automobiles, electronic instruments, etc. It plays an indispensable role.

Commonly used ones include Al Si Cu system, ADC12 (A383), ADC10 (A380), etc. In addition, there are Al Si series, Al Si Mg series, and Al Mg series. Currently known as aluminum titanium alloy, it is modified by adding titanium metal to the above-mentioned materials, which can significantly improve the mechanical properties of the product.

Die cast magnesium alloy

Magnesium alloy is an alloy composed of magnesium as the base and other elements added. Its characteristics are: low density, high specific strength, high specific modulus of elasticity, good heat dissipation, good shock absorption, greater ability to withstand impact loads than aluminum alloy, and good corrosion resistance to organic matter and alkali. The specific gravity of magnesium is approximately 2/3 of aluminum and 1/4 of iron. So it is widely used in electronic devices such as mobile phones, communication equipment, automotive parts, and medical devices.

The most widely used currently is magnesium aluminum alloy, followed by magnesium manganese alloy and magnesium zinc zirconium alloy. The commonly used grades include AZ91D, AM60B, AM50A, AS41b, etc.

Die casting molds

Die casting molds must be made of hot work mold steel, commonly used steels include: H13234484078418, SKD61, DAC, FDAC, etc.

The structure of the mold: (rear mold, front mold) mold frame, mold core, guide column, guide sleeve ejector pin, driver, splitter, sprue sleeve, slider, inclined guide column, hydraulic core pulling.

Mold processing equipment: milling machine, CNC machining center, wire cutting (slow wire), (mirror) spark machine, grinder, lathe, welding repair equipment.
